Oscar winner music composer AR Rahman to receive this year’s Hridayanath Mangeshkar Award. He will be conferred on a grand event at Mumbai on 26th October 2015.

The Oscar winning music director A.R. Rahman is going to receive a prestigious Hridayanath Mangeshkar award very soon. He will be honoured with this award in Mumbai on October 26th.

As per latest updates, the music composer will take this award from veteran filmmaker Subash Ghai on the eve of birth anniversary of Pandit Hridayanath Mangeshkar who is younger brother of legendary playback singer Lata Mangeshkar and Asha Bhosle.

There are many celebrities received this award up to now and in those Asha, Amitabh Bachchan and Sallekhana Tai also there. The first Hridayanath award was presented to Latji and remaining people were got this reward in 2014.

In 2009, Mr Rahman won the Oscar for Best Original Score and Best Original Song, sharing it with lyricist Gulzar, for Danny Boyle’s Slumdog Millionaire. Mr Rahman has also won four National Awards in a career spanning over two decades. He is entertaining his fans from past couple of years through his lovely music and definitely he is suitable person for getting this prestigious prize.
