JAMMU: Jammu University is ready to organize the 37th Indian Geography Congress from 2nd to 4th Dec for discussing Tourism, Resources and Remote Sensing Techniques, Environment and Development using GIS.

Jammu University is going to conduct the 37th Indian Geography Congress from 2nd to 4th December 2015 under the protection of the National Association of Geographers. In this conference, Tourism, Environment and Development using GIS, Resources and Remote Sensing Techniques will be discussed, announced by the convener of IGC, Prof V S Manhas.

This meeting will be inaugurated by NN Vohra, Government of Jammu and Kashmir at General Zorawar Singh Auditorium on Thursday. The conference will be conducted three days and approximately 800 delegates and professionals will participate.

As well as, Vice Chancellor of Jamia Millia Islamia, Delhi, Vice Chancellor of Kashi Hindu Vidyapeeth, Varanasi, Prof Talat Ahmed, Former Surveyor General of India and former Director, National Atlas and Thematic Mapping Organisation Prof P Nag, Nalanda Open University vice Chancellor R B P Singh are also taking all responsibilities in this seminar, Prof V S Manhas added this.

In this seminar, all delegates will submit their research papers; it takes forty-two sessions and scholars who well known will preach the four memorial lectures in the field along with the panel discussion on Climate Change and Glaciers.

Here the thing is, Indian Geography Congress will be organizing by the Department of Geography second time after 1995.
