Hyderabad, June 5: International Crops Research Institute for the Semi-Arid Tropics (ICRISAT) is going to hold an Agri business investors camp on 12th June, 2015 at Hyderabad, as a part of its Agri-Business Incubation (ABI) program. This is really a good opportunity for all agri-business innovators and budding business persons to express their ideas and models for individual advice.

 The camp will be held at ICRISAT on 12th June with three themes i.e. Agri-Technology, Agri-Engineering and Food Processing. Icrisat will receive innovative ideas from anyone either a farmer or a business person or a student for help in scaling-up.

ICRISAT is conducting this camp with an aim to invest innovative start-up businesses to become scalable and competitive food and agri-business ventures and to identify the innovative entrepreneurs.

SM Karuppanchetty, Chief operating officer of the ABI programme said that “the main vision of camp is to identify the Indian start-up business persons and innovators in the agricultural filed and it is an ideal platform to present innovative business ideas and models to secure  additional funding support up to Rs. 1 crore ($156, 000) and to scale-up”. As a part of this camp, the Icrisat will also offer incubation support for selected entrepreneurs who exhibited innovative ideas.
