Embarrassment is being faced while passing through Patna Railway Station. The free Wi-Fi facility is mostly subjected to Porn. It is found that Bihar is the only state to consume more data all around the country where free Wi-Fi are available for stations and trains.

The Railways had now decided to drop the free Wi-Fi services in the Patna Station and also in several premium trains like Shatabdi and Rajdhani. The elimination of free Data Services at the stations by the Officials had left them in a dilemma whether to experiment the same on other trains too.

The Railway Officials said that Mobile users on the trains are found to be watching the porn clips, which would create an uncomfortable and an embarrassing situation for the co-passengers apart from causing monetary losses for Railways. The Ministry of Railways plans hiatus for free Data services.

A Senior Railway Ministry Official said “ A free rough estimate suggests that people are using at least 15 times more data at Railways stations that they would use on their cellular networks on a daily basis. This is also evident from the misuse of the internet on various railway stations. Most of the users have been using Railway internet for downloading porn clips, Youtube videos, and other mobile apps.”

The idea of holding the Free Wi-Fi comes in the wake of the misuse of the services at Railway Stations and Trains. Patna is figured as the first in the list, among all the 23 stations which provide free Wi-Fi.

“More than any other railway station in the country where free Wi-Fi service was launched, Patna railway station is on the top in the country for using internet search, mainly search for porn sites,” an official of RailTel, a mini-Ratna public sector undertaking (PSU), said.

The issue is being discussed by the Top level Officials, and it is expected that the Internet services are to be offered for Charge to the Passengers.
