Telangana, June 24: Telanganaku Haritha Haram program will be launched on 3rd July, 2015 by the President Pranab Mukherjee near at Yadagirigutta in Nalgonda district.

State government has been leading “Telanganaku Haritha Haram” programme to plant a massive amount of plantlets to increase the green cover of the state. As per the official information Chief Secretary Rajiv Sharma, District Collector P. Satyanarayana Reddy along with other officials visited the Yadagirigutta on Tuesday to set the location for launching massive plantation drive.

The district administration has allocated 15 acres area near at Surendrapuri. Earlier the state government has decided to develop a deer park at that place as part of the Yadagirigutta development project.

The state government had requested the President to launch the plantation programme on 3rd July, 2015. As per reports, president accepted for the request and as a part of his Southern sojourn, he will stay at Rashtrapati Nilayam in Bolarum in Hyderabad from June 29 to July 8.

Chief Secretary, Director General of Police, Principal Secretaries of Endowments, Forests and a few other departments will be going to visit a location on June 26. As a part of programme, around 230 crore plant-lets has proposed to plant over a period of three years to improve forest density and to promote greenery.
