12 Nigerian citizens killed after attack by Boko Haram terrorist group at two different towns in Borno state. This incident happened on Tuesday morning 4:40 AM.
As per a witness and military sources Boko Haram terrorist has attacked at a border town in Nigeria’s Borno state and in another village in same state on Tuesday and killed at least 12 people.
A military and a vigilante leader in Maiduguri said that, the fighters attacked on Damasak which is few kilometres long from the Niger border at around 4:40 am local time on Tuesday.
As per sources the militants came in Hilux vehicles and motorcycles, set fire to all houses but all the residents have escaped from the town since last weekend when troops from the Multi-National Joint Task Forces were withdrawing to Niger.
Boko Haram also attacked on Warsala, an agrarian community placed on the highway which is connected to Borno and its neighbouring Yobe state, on Tuesday night and killed at least 12 people and also burnt the all houses, cars and other vehicles including two trailers.
Boko Haram means it is an Islamist militant group conducting a campaign of violence in northern Nigeria. The group ambition is to implement Sharia law with the total destruction of the Nigerian state and its government.
The numbers of Boko Haram attacks in northern Nigeria have pointed since the end of May, after the group lost most of the territory which had gained in 2014.
