Chennai: Recent fantasy, adventurous movie starring Vijay, Shruti, Hansika in lead roles has got 71 crores on whole from the Kollywood box office.

‘Puli’ which released with more expectations failed with even more disappointment. This is the true story. The movie was taken out from most of the screens and the worst part is even ‘ThaniOruvan’ manages to stay in few screens and ‘Puli’ was completely taken out.

But the producers of ‘Puli’ SKT Studios has tweeted that ‘Puli’ has grossed more than 71 Crores. This statement from them has caused ripples amongst everyone. Earlier Telugu distributor Shobha already claimed that the movie has incurred huge losses for them.

The movie suffered delay in release and even premiere shows were cancelled. Most of the theaters were running empty and theatre owners were upset with the loss. They were even planning to get compensation. But amidst all these controversies,

The production house tweeted,”Happy to announce the 1st Week collection of #Puli worldwide Gross-71 Crores even after the mixed reviews!!” Sources close to Vijay revealed that the actor is keen not to spend any money on compensation and to provide illusion, he has made up a scene as if the movie has collected profits.
