Hyderabad: South Central Railway is working unceasingly for protecting environment, carrying out a series of green events in the present year with Water Recycling.

The South Central Railway is working unceasingly for protecting environment, carried out a series of green events in the present year. Nearly, under Rain Water Harvesting 3, 800 pits were constructed at 154 stations in the present year. Approximately, 60% of the target has been achieved and the remaining work is in improvement.

It is expected with this measurement that Railways will have the capability to meet the demand of water considerably in addition to helping the reason of environment. The main RWH event was taken in 100 acres of land at Nallapadu in Guntur Division area.

Likewise, these kinds of pits are being built in all most important places in Hyderabad, Guntakal, Vijayawada, Aurangabad, Nanded, Purna and Jalna. For RWH pits, 154 stations have been identified, in Secunderabad 78, in Guntakal 25, in Guntur 15, in Vijayawada 19, in Nanded 10 and in Hyderabad 7.

WATER RECYCLING: current the audits of water is being finished in a hard manner at all main consumption centres to stop wastage and to use better of used water by recycling in a safe manner.

For this use 35 important stations were identified the present year and 15 are in Guntakal, 7 in Secunderabad, 4 in Hyderabad, Vijayawada and Nanded and one in Guntur. Water audit at 12 stations were finished by the end of September.
