Telangana State government may announce 2016 EAMCET 2 notification today for the MBBS and BDS course entrance. The exam will be held on July 9th, 2016.
Telangana Health and Medical department Minister Sri Charlakola Laxma Reddy has conducted a meeting with the officials before the 2016 EAMCET 2 notification release decision. It is estimated that the notification may be announced today at any time. The entrance test is expected to be conducted on Jule 9th 2016. The KEY will also be released on the same day after the exam. The results will be announced with a week after the entrance test. Classes will be conducted from August 1st, 2016. NEET-2 exam will be held on July 24th, 2016.
The Central government of India has clarified to the state governments by bringing an ordinance regarding NEET 2016 or NEET -1. The President of India, Mr. Pranab Mukherjee has notified the ordinance regarding NEET-I. The State governments were given freedom to conduct their individual state entrance tests for the admissions into Medical and dental colleges for the academic year 2016-2017. But there is a minor adjustment in the admissions process. The Private Medical colleges will forgo the freedom of the NRI and Management quota seats. NEET will be filling those seats.
EAMCET 2 notification 2016 will be for the government medical college seats and 50% of the private medical college seats filling only. The remaining 50% of private medical college seats will be filled through NEET from now. Out of this 50% quota, 35% of seats are considered as B Category and the remaining 15% of seats are related to NRI quota. Till the introduction of NEET, these 50% seats were filled by the private colleges without any guidelines from the government.
There are about 18 Medical colleges which include 6 government medical colleges in Telangana state. Nearly 2,750 medical seats are available among these colleges. Out of 2,750 seats, 1,025 seats will be filled through NEET – I and NEET – II exams. 1,000 seats are government medical college seats. The remaining seats are owned by the private (1,450 seats) and minority medical colleges (300 seats).
Out of the 1,450 Private medical college seats, the government of Telangana will be filling 725 seats through EAMCET. These 725 seats include B-category seats 507 (35%) and NRI Seats 218 seats (15%). The remaining 725 seats will be filled through NEET. So, complete 1,450 private medical college seats will be under government control. The minority college 300 medical seats will be completely filled through NEET.
There is only 1 government Dental college in Telangana state. There are 100 seats in the college. Around 11 private Dental colleges are present in the state. In those 11 private dental colleges around 1,040 seats are available. The same ratio is applied to the dental colleges as for the medical colleges.
