Is ‘Maalai Nerathu Mayakkam’ a Pongal release ?

Chennai: The bilingual film ‘Maalai Nerathu Mayakkam’ movie will be releasing for Pongal. Directed by Selvaraghavan and his wife Geetanjali will release for Pongal.

Director Selvaraghavan is back as a script writer. He is the scriptwriter for the movie ‘Maalai Nerathu Mayakkam’. Due to past failures, he refrained from direction. He gave the direction cap to his wife Geetanjali.

This is Geetanjali Selva Raghavan’s debut venture as a director. The movie is produced by Selvaraghavan’s regular editor Kola Bhaskar. Khola Baskar produces the movie under his banner named Beep Tone Studios. Balakrishna Kola and Wamiqa Gabbi are doing the lead roles.

Amit scores music. The technical team features Vasanth-Rukesh duo for editing and Sridhar for cinematography. The team recently confirmed that the movie will be a bilingual release and it will be releasing in Telugu too.

Now we hear from reports that the movie will hit screens on Pongal. But the news is not yet confirmed. The movie already cleared censors and it was granted a clean ‘A’ certificate. This is the only movie after ‘Trisha Illana Nayantara’ to get ‘A’ certificate from censor board.
