Chennai: Malai Nerathu Mayakkam Tamil Film was hit screen yesterday. The Opening day Box Office Collections were 6.5 Crores throughout Whole Tamil Nadu.
Past week saw few good releases for the Christmas-New year season and one among them was the Selvaragavan’s Maalai Nerathu Mayakkam. Written by the maverick director Selvaraghavan and directed by his wife Gitanjali, the movie hit the theaters yesterday, on the first day of the year 2016.
After few financial and other glitches, the movie has finally seen the light of day. Soon after its release, the movie garnered average to positive responses from the movie buffs and audience. But how about the box office collections that is set to determine the success of the movie. Here come the first collection reports from the trade analysts.
Keeping in mind the different factors, the movie is said to have collected a gross revenue of 6.5 Crores in its opening day at Tamil Nadu alone.
With a host of newbies, the movie is said to be getting its share of collections and might end up big by the end of this weekend. However, because of its bold content, the movie would repel family audiences, which would be a drawback to the movie in terms of its collections.
