Y.G.Mahendran is an Indian actor who has acted predominantly in Kollywood cinema. He has acted in supporting roles for more than 150 movies. Recently he acted in a crucial role for the movie ‘Aaham’. He said, he is proud to act in the movie as the story is based on the development of India.

He said the director is making his debut and the script seems to be so matured. He wished producers to take the risk and produce new movies. YG Mahendran said these days lots of youngsters prefer to work abroad and they don’t wish to settle in India.

He further said, “Director Vijay Anand Sriram has no experience, but he impressed me in making the movie. Such directors are essential for the growth of our country and Tamil cinema. Those days a successful movie is found when it runs for 100 days.

But in the current trend, if a movie runs house full for first three days, it excites the producers, theatre owners and distributors. This trend is prevailing in Kollywood right now. This should change at the earliest.”
