To bring in quality development in education, 30 principals of Delhi govt schools are undergoing a five day training programme at the Indian Institute of Management (IIM), Lucknow to learn leadership and strategic management skills.

According to PTI, this is a good sign for principals at the session here. The Principal of Rajkiya Pratibha Vikas Vidyalaya in Yamuna Vihar, Rajpal Singh said over the phone from Lucknow.

Singh said that he was happy in getting to know of things about which he did not have any idea since the past 25 years.

Delhi Government, as part of training, recently decided to send 90 principals of the government-run schools to the Cambridge University in the United Kingdom to undergo a leadership training exercise.

The State Government allocated Rs. 102 crore for the international training of principals and teachers.

Apart from Cambridge University, principals will also send to other top most universities like Harvard, Oxford, IIMs, and IITs.
