Rajinikanth’s Robo 2.0 Telugu distribution rights sold for a record price in AP & Telangana

Rajinikanth and Akshay Kumar starrer, Robo 2.0 is the biggest and most expensive film ever made in Indian film history. The Movie Distribution Rights were sold out for a grand price in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana states.

Robo 2.0 is the most awaited movie in early 2018 because of its huge star cast. The film is doing huge business even before the release itself. Global Cinemas bag the theatrical rights of the Telugu version for a whopping price. However, the exact price is not enclosed, but the report suggests that it is sold out for Rs 81 Crore. It becomes the costliest dubbed film in Telugu history.

Raju Mahalingam who is the creative head of Lyca Productions tweeted, “Robo 2.0 is SOLD OUT for a Whopping Price in AP and Telangana states by Lyca Productions & Global Cinema partnership is a “History in the Making.”

The film is made with a budget of Rs 400 Crore and Popular Television Network Zee TV acquired Enthiran 2.0 Satellite Rights sold out for an amount of Rs 110 Crores.

Robo 2.0 is directed by S. Shankar and Lyca Production is producing the movie. This movie is the sequel of 2010 released Robo movie which is also directed by S. Shankar. Rajinikanth is playing the lead role in the movie. Bollywood superstar Akshay Kumar will be playing the villain in the film. He will be seen in a complete unrecognizable look. Amy Jackson will be the female lead in the movie.

Ace musician A. R. Rahman composes the music of Robo 2.0. According to few sources, the VFX of the film will be the major highlight of the movie. The movie was entirely shot in New Delhi and Chennai. The makers of the movie are to release during Sankranthi festival in 2018.
