New Delhi, July 7: Airtel blamed the lack of mobile towers for frequent call drops and decided to clear misinformation immediately about radiation effect.

Recently telecom minister Ravi Shankar Prasad raised an issue about call drops, he said that operators need to walk more extra mile to offer quality services to their customers so that they do not face problems similar to call drops.

As an Issue, Indian multinational telecommunications service company Bharti Airtel Limited said that call drops in their network is due to the lack of mobile towers and there is an urgent requirement to clear misinformation about radiation.

The CEO of company Gopal Vittal said that “we have only 117 sites for mobile towers in Delhi Lutyens area, but we need 217, so both spectrum and more sites for towers are required”.

Airtel network always strives to offer best quality serviced to their customers, recently company has adopted a “reduced pay as you go” for 4G data usage customers. With this service users can use data beyond subscribed limit at Rs.500 per GB.

Airtel is offering 4G services at a price of 3G, the speed of 4G is very high and user can end up with paying more compared to 2G and 3G network. With 2G network user may use small amount of data and with 3G may be little bit more than 2G, but in case of 4G network Airtel commits to deliver super-fast speeds. By using this customer can see high definition video streaming with zero buffering, can download 10 movies with 30 minutes time limit and can upload two high resolution photos per second etc.

The company is upgrading 4G network and gradually launching services across various cities in the country. Recently services were launched at Yamunanagar, Ambala, Karnal, Hisar, Ludhiana , Bengaluru, Nagpur, Mangaluru, Aurangabad, Jalandhar and Amritsar. And it is currently running trails in Delhi, Hyderabad, Vizag, Madhurai, Chennai, Coimbatore and Mumbai with existing Airtel customers.
