Tokyo, July 15: A gigantic 10 inch long dinosaur teeth belong to Tyrannosauride family found near Nagasaki. Fukui Prefectual Dinosaur Museum discovered it. Here is complete report.
Fukui Prefectual Dinosaur Museum discovered 10 inch long teeth of 81 million years old carnivorous dinosaur which is belonging to the Tyrannosauride family at the earth layer of Nagasaki. As per researchers this is the first proof that such a large type predator existed in the area.
Kazunori Miyata, Chief researcher at the museum said that, “we have been founded other fossils in Nagasaki, and this is the proof to reaffirm the existence of dinosaurs at this place”.
The research of museum founded 2 teeth of carnivorous dinosaur while one of the teeth is whittled and the other one is in better condition with 8.2 cm length and 2.7cm breadth and it is likely a tooth on the left side of lower jaw. As per researches view, the deformed teeth is longer than the other one. As per news reports, from Friday onwards fossils will be displayed at the Nagasaki Science Museum and their reproductions will be displayed at the Prefectural Dinosaur Museum.
Makoto Manabe, the lead researcher of biotic evolution at the National Museum of Nature and Science, said that the due to the less number of fossils, rare data which is founded at the latest discovery will help to classify and estimate the sizes of dinosaurs.
