Jharkhand, June 9: At Palamu district on Monday night, twelve Maoist rebels gunned down in a major operation by security forces. Here what happen yesterday night with a detailed report.

Bakoria village, a small area which is nearly 150 KM away from state capital Ranchi saw a massive operation between security forces and Maoist last night. The encounter was lasted for long two hours and finally 12 of them shoot dead.

Security forces got information yesterday regarding this movement and headed towards to stop them. They not only killed 12 of them, but also managed to get their dead bodies as well as arms and ammunition. This is a unique thing, because most of the time dead bodies and arms are taken away by Maoists.

Combat Battalion for Resolute Action or popularly known as CoBRA is association with Jharkhand state police made this possible. The operation was started around 12 midnight yesterday and continues for 2 hours i.e. till 2 AM today. Palamu district zone IG A. Natrajan and SP Mayur Patel rushed to Bakoria village for support.

In his statement to the Hindustan Times, Natrajan told that, “When the encounter ended at 2am (on Tuesday), we found 12 bodies of the ultras during a search operation. Eight arms and 200 rounds of ammunition besides other items were recovered from the spot.”
