Hyderabad, June 26: Police stations in Cyberabad area would be restored with proper facilities with three more floors to the existing Police Commissionerate office at Gachibowli.

As a part of modernisation programme of police stations, Telangana Home Minister N Narsimha Reddy and Director General of Police (DGP) Anurag Sharma inaugurated the modernization of police stations at Jagadgirigutta police station. As a part of this programme, all the police stations at Cyberabad area will be restored with appropriate facilities.

The police official has decided to add three more floors to the existing police Commissionerate office at Gachibowli, where DCPs and additional DCPs will use those rooms for their accommodations. One of the floors will also have a ‘war room’ for senior police officials to write out strategies in cases of emergencies.

Police Commissioner CV Anand said that, the government sanctioned 45 crore for Cyberabad police to turn all the police stations and police offices in the area as ‘People Friendly Units’. As per official information around 7 crore has been sanctioned for the expansion of the CP Cyberabad office and also for new active units including SHE teams, IT Cell, CI Cell and the Ministerial and Account staff.

3 crores are sanctioned to build the newly-sanctioned Gachibowli IT Corridor Police Station complex. The building has been designed as an accommodation for DCPs, ADCP, ACP of Madhapur, IT Corridor women Police Station and for Commissionerate Counselling Centre.

The government has also sanctioned rs.10 crore to develop 1500 sq. feet quarters in each of the 44 Police Stations of Cyberabad. And all these 44 police stations are redesigned at a cost of Rs.20 crore to make them people friendly with proper designs for various services.
