Chandigarh, July 1: UT 2nd Round Counselling Dates – UT Chandigarh education department second round counselling for class XI will be start from July 16. Grab more details about process and schedule here.
UT education department has announced the first allotment list for class XI for various streams on Tuesday. For candidates who failed to secure seat in first round counselling, officials of department has announced the second round counselling details which would begin from July 16 onwards.
Last year, after the first allotment results 10 to 15% vacant seats are available for different streams in Class XI and vacant seats are expected this year too. As per details after announcing first round counselling results, around 1, 744 vacant seats are there in the Humanities and Science streams.
Total 37 schools are participating in admission process for Class XI, out of which Science stream is offered in 18 schools. The number of seats in this stream is 3, 135, out of which 3, 001 have been allotted to eligible candidates through first round counselling. The Commerce stream is also available in 18 schools with 1,540 seats and all have been allotted in first round. And the 6, 520 seats are available for Humanities stream, out of which 5, 134 seats have been allotted.
As per UT education department officials, the students who are not satisfied with first round seat allotment, they may not deposit the fees. So there may be a chance for more number of vacant seats in all streams by the time of second counselling. The school-wise and stream wise vacant seats details will be announced soon at official website for candidates to apply again though second round counselling process.

Deposit of Fees: July 2 & 3, 9:00 am onwards
Classes begin: July 4th onwards
Second Round Counselling Details
Counselling Dates: July 16-18, 9:00 am to 1:00 pm
Display of allotment list: July 24, 11:00 am
Deposit of Fees: July 25 & 27 9:00 to 11:00 am
