Mumbai, July 15: Yakub Memon Latest News – Main convict of Mumbai serial bomb blasts in 1993 is to get hanged on July 30 as per the orders of Supreme Court, Maharashtra government and President of India.

In Maharashtra, Mumbai, there were serial bomb blasts in which around 250 people were killed mercilessly. The main convict for all these is Yakub Memon. Maharashtra government passed orders to hang as soon as possible to make the 250 people’s soul rest in peace. If his petition for mercy is cancelled/ rejected by Supreme Court, Yakub will be hanged on July 30.

Officially, this is the first execution for death that is related to the 1993 serial bomb blasts of Mumbai. Nagpur Central jail has facilities to hang people; Yakub Memon is presently jailed there. An anti-terror court in Mumbai gave warrant for this terrorist.

Sources say that Yakub will be hanged in either Nagpur jail or in Pune’s Yerwada jail. Previously, his petition for death sentence has been rejected by Supreme Court and President of India. Again, Yakub applied for petition of mercy which will be appeared in Court before his date of hanging.

Nagpur Jail superintendent Yogesh Desai said regarding this, “Yakub could be hanged in the Nagpur jail or in Pune’s Yerwada jail”. As per the procedure, his family members are informed about this and date, time of execution for death has been fixed by Devendra Fadnavis, the Chief Minister of Maharashtra.

Yakub Memon, who is 53 year old is a charted accountant and found guilty of conspiracy in the year 2007. Now he has been sentenced for death by Maharashtra government for killing 250 people with bomb blasts. Sources say that he is the brother of Ibrahim Memon (Popularly known as Tiger Memon). Unfortunately he is found missing from 1993.

Finally, as per the government rules, Yakub Memon will be hanged on July 30.
