Mumbai: IIT admission seat allocation process started today for various courses. Here is the detail news on IIT seat allocation along with reporting information for admission process.
Indian Institute of Technology (IITs) has started the process of seat Allocation today i.e. on 22nd July 2015 for various introductory courses. The seats will be allotted for candidates today. So all the applicants can check the Seat Allotment results once and apply for IIT Admissions 2015.
Candidates those who will get seats in Seat Allocation process must go to their reporting centers on 23rd July 2015 and admissions will be commenced from 23rd July 2015 and up to 26th July 2015 in between 10 AM to 5 PM.
The 3rd round seat allotment results were announced on 21st July 2015 for getting admission into IITs, NITs and several private institutions. The admission process will be conducted by Joint Seat Allocation Authority (JoSAA0 for Joint Entrance Exam Main Paper 1 and JEE Advanced 2015. All the aspirants who were selected in any round of seat allocation, they had reported at their designated center too, but wish to change their sliding option to floating or freeze or vice-versa. All the applicants are requested to bring the confirmation of Documents Verification, ound-2 seat allotment letter and hall ticket of JEE Main 2015.
Students who were allotted seats must attend for admission process at their respective centers and if any one fails to do so, then they will be eliminated from admission process and won’t be eligible to participate in next rounds of seat allotment process.
If the students pick to ‘freeze’ the seat, then they would not be allowed to make any changes in seat allotment for further rounds. If they click on ‘floating’ option, they will be allowed to upgrade. If the candidates want a seat upgrade in same institute, they have to prefer the ‘Sliding’ option.
There are 87 Institutes Participating in Admission Process, in that 7 are IITs, 31 are NITs, 18 are GFTIs and ISMs.
