Central Seat Allocation Board, CSAB announced the extension of admission dates for IITs, NITs and GFTIs. Now the last date of admissions will be 17th August 2015.
Central Seat Allocation Board (CSAB) has announced that, the dead line for special admission rounds in NITs, IITs and other Government-funded technical institutions (GFTIs) has been extended to give a chance to fair and meretricious students. The deadline will be extended to August 17th.
There are 5,500 vacancies available in all IITs, NITs and GFTIs. In order to fill up these vacancies, CSAB had taken a decision to extend the admission deadline date. Previously, only students not allowed a seat in the joint allocation process were allowed to register.
CSAM is now allowing all the candidates who have JEE mains ranks. The CSAB on August 7th announced that it will organize special round to fil vacancies in central institutes of 23,919 seats. Out of 5,500 seats, 3,100 are in NITs only. Some are in sought-after institutes, such as in Surathkal, Warangal and Patna.
Earlier August 11th is dead line for admissions through the additional round and now it has been extended dup to August 17. The director of NIT Patna, Chairman of CSAB, Asok De said, the board had received 10000 applications in three days for the special round initially. “Due to requests from students, the board has decided to conduct special round and extended deadline” added by Asok De.
