Chennai: Suriya’s Massu Engira Masilamani Tamil movie could not perform well box office and production team is asking to incur the amount they have spent in this Kollywood film making.

Rajinikanth’s Lingaa released on December 12, 2014 and the movie faced lots of trouble after its release. Lots of distributors claimed that the Tamil movie was a loss. They demanded Rajinikanth to incur the losses and this created lots of rift between Theatre owners and Producers council.

The issue never settled down even after 9 months of its release. Even recently Paneer Selvam who spearheads Tamilnadu theater owner’s association demanded for the loss. Now the same repeats for K.E.Gnanavel Raja for producing Suriya’s Massu Engira Masilamani.

Surya’s Massu released this May and the movie failed miserably at Box-Office. The movie was released amidst huge expectations but failed to meet the expectations. Director Venkat Prabhu faced harsh critics. The movie was sold to whopping price and now theatre owners are claiming loss for this movie.

We hear from sources that KE Gnanael Raja bagged rights of ‘Trisha Illana Nayanthara’ and now theatre owners keep check by claiming loss for ‘Massu’. So it is still a question whether ‘Trisha Illana Nayanthara’ will release on 17th as scheduled or face the heat and get delayed once again.
