The delay in starting process is due to various factors which includes late conduct of the common entrance test (CET), introduction of a new two year curriculum and requirement of approvals from state government and National Council for Teachers Education (NCTE).
The Shantiniketan College of Women’s Education principal and well-known teacher Vandana Benjamin said that, “The delay in admissions is certainly a worry for all of us. Even students get worried whenever the academic session starts late. The good news is that at least from September 12 admissions have been allowed and within a week we will get a clear idea on how the overall response in Nagpur city has been.
Another senior member from organization has said that, “From this year overall process in conducting admission may be changed and the process was delayed from Government side only because it conducts exam very late.
Important thing is this year admissions are being done through common entrance exam only unlike in previous sessions where vacant seats had been opened up even to those who did not clear the exam.
