Chennai: Recent Kollywood blockbuster Thani Oruvan that is directed by Mohan Raja has lots of appreciations; he is thinking to release it in 5 different languages.
Mohan Raja even though was in movie industry for more than 8 years, he never tasted success. His last release ‘Velayutham’ was a huge failure and that made the director to stay away from industry. The actor bounced back strongly with the movie ‘Thani Oruvan’.
‘Thani Oruvan’ is a huge success and the movie is also labeled as blockbuster this year. The film had ‘Jayam’ Ravi, Nayantara in lead roles and the antagonist role was done by Arvind Swami. Dialogues by SuBa were applauded a lot.
The movie got lots of competition for remake rights. Telugu version rights were bagged for a whipping price of Rs.5.5 Crores. Raja himself will direct the movie in Telugu version. Ram Charan will be doing the lead role in Telugu version.
Mohan Raja was recently quizzed by a leading Tamil magazine and he was quizzed with question of directing ‘Thani Oruvan 2’. He replied “I am planning a sequel. Why shouldn’t I do it? Is it a must that only Hollywood should make franchises like Bond and Batman? I am also directing ‘Thani Oruvan’ in 5 other languages. Telugu will be the first version. I will announce the sequel soon.”
