Chennai: Debutante music composer Ron Yohann for Nayantara starring Maya movie has shared his experience on audience response after watching the Tamil movie.

‘Maya’ is one of the successful movies ever made in recent times. The film which was shaped up as Horror genre was showered with praises and accolades. It is already reported that the movie entered Profit-Zone and makers, distributors are happy with the response.

This is a dream debut for Debutante director Ashwin Saravanan. Similarly Debutante composer Ron Yohann was showered with praises for providing some spine-chilling background score. The composer now shares the challenges he faced while composing for Maya. He says, “Before composing music, the producers came to me on hearing few of my samples. This is my first movie and I was nervous.

Later I met Director Ashwin and he narrated the script to me and I liked it a lot. I realized that it was very atmospheric stuff I had loads of scope for music. I thought this is my chance to prove. Initially, I composed two themes – one emotional and the other horror. I was also adviced not to deviate from the script.

I was aware that in horror movies, the background score will get more attention. My contention was to support the story and I did not want people concentrating more on the music than the story. I was also know when to keep quiet and when to use the bass sounds. Those provide the chills and scares. I also wanted my music not to be more melodramatic.”
