Chennai: Recent release of Vadivelu Eli has tasted a huge loss for film makers, producer said that he was forced into movie production and Vadivelu threatened him not to sell the movie rights to any channel.

Actor Vadivelu seems to be trapped in a web of controversies these days. The veteran comedy actor is running out of chances and he also plans to act only in male lead characters these days. After entering Politics, when he lacked chances he made a comeback with ‘Thenaliraman’.

The movie was a huge dud at Box-Office and this Tamil actor however acted later in a Spy Comedy titled ‘Eli’. This film is a periodic comedy and once again Yuvaraj Dhayalan written and directed project after ‘Thenaliraman’. G.Sathish Kumar under City Cine Creations banner produced the Kollywood movie.

The film was a big failure once again and Producer was upset with loss. In this case, producer has lodged a complaint to Chennai city commissioner stating that Vadivelu threatens him not to give the satellite rights to any channel and he also uses goons to threaten so.

In his complaint letter he said, I was forced into movie production as a real estate agent said there are huge chances to make money with satellite rights. I trusted his words and produced ‘Eli’. The movie was made in a huge budget of 12 Crores and it is flopped. A leading satellite channel came forward to pay a sum of Rs.10 Crores.

But Vadivelu interfered and said that some other channel will come and purchase for a better price. Till now no one came forward. I lost all my hard earned money and I am also suffering from losses.
