Chennai: Director Ashwin Saravanan spoke to media about recent horror movie Maya and gave credits to actress Nayantara for success in Telugu and Tamil languages.

‘Maya’ is a horror movie which was released few weeks back. The movie is already labelled as blockbuster. Telugu distributor C.Kalyan said that the movie entered Profit zone on it’s fourth day. The movie has been a successful venture ad one of the profitable outings in 2015.

The success meet recently took place and everyone praised the movie. The surprise factor is ‘Maya’ continues to hold its good run even on its third week. The movie has more number of screens than ‘Puli’. Despite ‘Puli’ the movie is running house full on weekends.

Regarding the success of the movie Debutante director Ashwin Saravanan says that the movie’s success entirely relied upon Nayantara and without her this movie would have not tasted this much success.

The director says,”Nayanthara is the back-bone of the movie. She has contributed a lot to the movie. Most of the movies have failed in Kollywood despite having some good content. That is because of lack of face value. I was aware of that factor and I was keen to put a known face to pull audience to cinema hall. And that’s what has happened with Maya.”
