India: 150 Ayyappa Swami Devotees have started ‘maha padayatra’ from Hyderabad to reach Sabarimala in Kerala which have 1,148 km distance.
Ayyappa Swami Devotees who clad in black dresses and carrying “Irumudi” at top of their head reached Kurnool as part of the pilgrimage. Totally 150 members have started ‘maha padayatra’ from Hyderabad to reach Sabarimala in Kerala which have 1,148 km distance. This is their eighth successive year, till now they have reached to Kurnool on their eighth-day pilgrimage.
Devotees have started from various places from Hyderabad, they are a Srinagar colony, Karwan, and Ziaguda, and some coming from Banswada in Nizamabad, Shamshabad, and Shadnagar in Mahabubnagar district.
All were started after completion of the ‘padi puja’ in Sri Venkateswara temple at Srinagar colony in Hyderabad on 6th November 2015. This is totally including 41 days; at the time of ending they will be reached Sri Ayyappa Swamy temple ‘Sannidhanam’ on 12th December 2015 at Sabarimala.
Across the state ‘deeksha’ will be taken approximately 41 days by all devotees and daily performs the Pooja, finally will arrange vehicles to go to the Sabaraimala. Guruswami Venugopal who has visited Sabaramala eight years ago started first ‘maha padayatra from Hyderabad.
This Sabarimala maha padayatra has been sponsored by Meka Srinivasa Rao who is the Chairman of Suvarnabhoomi Developers Private Limited. P. Vasanth who is being Guruswami, Kumar Swamy and Vinay Swamy of Banswada in Nizamabad district are organizing this devotional program of maha padayatra, abhisheka and padi Pooja.
