Subrahmanyam Jaishankar is considered as the architect of Indo-US nuclear in a 2008 deal and the man behind recent breakthrough on its operation conducted. The Congress says that it is questionable as he takes the entire charge as the foreign secretary.

The rendezvous of S Jaishankar as the latest foreign secretary mounted into a hullabaloo on today, Thursday with the Congress business the period of schedule of his appointment questionable. The NDTV quoted senior Congress leader Manish Tewari said, “Why did the Modi government wait till US president Barack Obama’s visit to make the appointment?” S Jaishankar who was the India’s ambassador to the United States was replaced with Sujatha Singh whose possession was suddenly unfinished by the government on which it headed for about eight months of her retirement.

Jaishankar was a 60-year old diplomat and had also been placed as an Ambassador to the countries like China, Singapore and Czech Republic. The Singh had taken over as the third woman foreign secretary in August, 2013 and had a few months of eight to provide. She is the earliest foreign secretary to be seperated hastily after Rajiv Gandhi isolated AP Venkateswaran in 1987.
