Mumbai: One of the best actors in India, Saif Ali Khan is featuring Hollywood movie Chef Hindi remake in title role, film makers say that he is back to roots.

Saif Ali Khan is going to do the role of protagonist in the Hindi remake of Hollywood movie ‘Chef’. The original movie got released in 2014 and it was written, produced and directed by Jon Favreau. Jon Favreau himself did the lead role too.

The movie also featured Robert Downey Junior, Sofia Vergaram Scarlett Johansson, John Leguizamo and Dustin Hoffman. Now the movie is all set to speak Hindi. The remake will be funded as a joint venture by Abundantia Entertainment, Eros International and Alumbra Entertainment.

Vikram Malhotra from Abundantia Entertainment grabbed the remake rights and he collaborated with EROS International later. Regarding this Jon Farvreau said, “I am delighted that the movie is having an Indian version. The movie will have theme of food, music and family and it should blend well with Indian audience.”

Vikram Malhotra said, “The movie has a feel-good story and I knew that this movie should be made in India. It is a unique journey of self discovery. One of the best actors in India, Saif Ali Khan is doing the title role.”
