Chennai: Srikanth and Raai Laxmi in lead roles featuring upcoming Kollywood Sowkarpettai movie is another horror comedy film that is for adults it seems.

Sowkarpettai which is yet another horror comedy features Srikanth and Raai Laxmi in lead roles. Vivek, Saravanan, Sampath Raj, Suman, Kovai Sarala, Vadivukkarasi, Singam Puli are part of the cast.

John Peter scores tunes and the movie is funded by John Max and Jones together under the production house Shalom Studios. ‘Thambi Vettothi Sundaram’ fame Vadivudaiyaan shapes the venture. The movie has two lyricists are namely Na.Muthu Kumar and Viveka.

The movie will also have a release as ‘Begum Beta’ in Telugu and ‘Tantra Shakthi’ in Hindi. Trend Music has the musical rights. Thenandal Films owns the distribution rights. The makers have now confirmed that the movie will hit screens on December 4th.

As a formality before release, the movie has visited censors and the movie was given ‘A’ certificate. This came as a shock for most of them. But the director has confessed they need to show some violence as that is part of the script. So with this the movie is clearly ineligible for Tax exemption benefits.
