Censorship has been the hottest topic in India. The censor cuts are being criticized badly these days. The censor cuts made in Bond’s ‘Spectre’ and Deepika’s ‘Tamasha’ was badly criticized on all social media platforms. However the censor official said, he just goes by rules.

Lots of celebrities are voicing their opinion on censor cuts. Now the latest to join the list is Film-maker Onir. It seems censor board has asked Onir to edit an intimate scene between Sanjay Suri and Tannishtha Chatterjee in his upcoming movie ‘Chauranga’.

They also asked him to crop a scene which shows a Dalit boy pushed into a well. Regarding this, Onir says, “I feel sad when I see a movie like this is facing trouble with censor board. Most of them loved the movie at many festivals. The movie doesn’t have any graphics.

Then you get more regressive stuff in name of entertainment. It is completely unfair. They asked to edit certain section and they also requested to remove long shots. This is like showing a pilot is not allowed to see during take-off.”
