Chennai: Tamil actor Karthi has decided to clean the lake in Pallipatty village in Salem on behalf of Surya’s Agaram foundation.

He is acting along with Nagarjuna and Tamannaah in this project. It is an official remake of the French movie ‘The Intouchables’. The movie is inching towards completion. The final phase of shooting will start after Pongal holidays.

Now apart from that Karthi who is part of Surya’s Agaram foundation attended a conference under the title ‘Yaathum Oore Yaavarum Inaipoam’. The conference went for two days. And during the last day of the conference, it was decided that the lakes will be cleared from a dump.

The volunteers and the meeting decided that they will choose a village at Salem. They have chosen Pallipatty village. The lake at Pallipatty village which was used for drinking is now filled with gutted and complete dump.

Regarding this cleaning work Karthi said, “We are just making a small contribution to a huge change. A small stone thrown in a lake can make more ripples. A candle can eradicate darkness. We are just bringing the light inside the darkness. There is no other motive inside it.”
