Chennai: Lakshmi Menon who did the sister character in Ajith Kumar Blockbuster Movie ‘Vedalam’, She recently opened up about that role. She said, ” I have accepted that role only for a good script not for others”.

Actor Ajith Kumar’s ‘Vedalam’ was a stupendous blockbuster in 2015. Lakshmi Menon did the role of Ajith’s sister. She made her debut as an actress with the movie Sundara Pandian. She got name and fame through Kumki under Prabhu Solomon direction. She also won Film fare award for Best actress in a debut role for the movie Kumki.

She became a lead actress in quick time. Meanwhile she acted in sister role in Vedhaalam. Many wondered how she accepted to do that role. It was also said that as Ajith is the lead hero of Kollywood industry, she accepted to act in sister role with him. But she denied the news and she confessed she didn’t act for Ajith.

Lakshmi Menon also said that, she acted only because of the story and the sister’s role which was the highlight. Her role had the substance too. She also said Director Siva narrated her the entire story only to her and not even to Ajith.

She also promised not to do such roles in future. She said it was a wonderful learning curve for her to work with a legend like Ajith. However she also expressed her desire to work with him once again.
