Additional trouble is added for the Afgan Refugees in the way of closure of the Macedonia border for their entry. This has added pressure to the European Union countries which are already struggling to tackle the issue.
Macedonia being a Non EU group country, the member countries are unable to force the decision of it. This is in continuation of the decisions that are already taken by Serbia, Croatia and Slovenia. Austria has also declared restrictions for the refugee entry.
Greece is facing the pressure, as over 8000 refugees are waiting for shelter. The Piraeus Port is filled up with the refugees. Dramatically, Greece has become the shelter camp for the Asylum’s since World War-II.
On the other hand, the countries like Albania, Bosnia, Herzegovina, Montenegro, Serbia, and Macedonia which form the Balkan route have restricted the refugee entry. Syria stands top in the refugees group followed by Iraq and Afganisthan. The refugees pass through the Balkan route to reach Germany, Sweden and countries in the European Union.
The refugees are firm not-to-back to Afghanistan. They are still waiting on the borders with children and women finding no shelter.
