On Wednesday the world leader in search engines – Google’s CEO Mr. Sunder Pichai has met with the European Union’s antitrust chief Mr.Margrethe Vestager in accordance with the differences that are prevailing between the two.

The U.S based company is facing the charges of monopoly attitude in the search engine market, paying less taxes in EU using the loopholes that persists in the cross-border financial agreements, Diversion of traffic from Kelkoo which is a competitor for Google and Price comparison services site, to serve its own products promotion and online shopping services.

Apart from the above, another allegation against Google is in regard to its Mobile Operating System software which captures almost 80% market in that sector.

Google responded to the above allegation in August last year stating them as false and baseless. It also proposed three unsuccessful successive proposals for the prevailing issues.

Google may face financial fines if an amicable solution is not found before this summer.

Last year, after the restructuring of Google, Alphabet a new parent company has emerged to operate the business of Driverless cars project, apart from focusing online activities, Android, and YouTube businesses.
