Hyundai’s most successful compact SUV Hyundai Creta has received massive bookings of more tahn 1 lakh in just 8 months.

Hyundai Creta, is awarded with the Indian Car of the Year (ICOTY) 2016. It has become the fastest Hyundai car in India to achieve over 1 lakh bookings after its launch. The company has delivered nearly 56,000 units out of the total bookings. The Hyundai’s compact SUV was launched in July 2015 and it achieved this milestone just within 8 months of its launch.

YK Koo – the Managing Director & CEO, HMIL, thanked all his customers for the tremendous response as the company set the record of fastest 1 lakh bookings in only 8 months of its launch. In the Indian  domestic market, CRETA has generated immense response in the Global markets with more than 28,000 orders.

The company has also announced that they are adding CRETA production by 30% to total existing production of 13,000 units of which 10,000 units will be allocated for the domestic market and reduce the waiting period for customers satisfaction.

Not only in India, the Hyundai Creta has received a great response in global markets as well including Latin America, Middle East and Africa. The company claims to have exported a total of 16,000 cars from its Chennai-based production unit.

Priced between Rs 9.1 lakh – Rs 14.4 lakh (ex-showroom, New Delhi), the vehicle is available in three variants of engine options. The 1.6 petrol, 1.4-litre diesel and 1.6-litre diesel are the options available for customers to purchase.

While the 1.6-litre petrol version is good for 121bhp and 151Nm, the 1.6-litre diesel unit develops 126bhp and 260Nm. The smaller diesel engine 1.4-litre CRDi, on the other hand, produces 89bhp and 220Nm.
