Chinese Smartphone maker Xiaomi on Thursday released its much-awaited flagship device Xiaomi Mi 5 at Rs.24, 999 in India.
As per reports, the Smartphone Xiaomi Mi 5 goes on sale starting April 6, which will initially only be available for purchase via Mi.com. Though the company says it will also be available with online retailers as well in the coming months.
The company showcased three variants of the Smartphone when it was initially unveiled during Mobile World Congress 2016 in Barcelona, though the Indian market will only get the one featuring 3GB RAM/32GB storage.
Key specifications on the phone include a 5.15-inch Full HD display, a Snapdragon 820 processor, a 16-megapixel primary camera, a 4 Ultra pixel selfie cam along with a fingerprint scanner. The Mi 5 is a dual SIM phone that supports 4G LTE (all LTE bands in India).
The Mi 5 runs Android 6.0 Marshmallow based MIUI 7 out-of-the-box. The phone is backed by a 3,000mAh battery and supports Qualcomm’s Quick Charge 3.0 technology. The phone also comes with USB Type-C connectivity port and an IR blaster (Mi Remote).The Mi 5 comes with Mi Protect plan that gives one year protection to the device against accidental damage for an additional Rs 499.
