Star Actor Dilip Kumar admitted to Lilavati Hospital for a treatment of high fever and nausea, was discharged from the hospital on Thursday.

The legendary actor Dilip Kumar, whose real name is Mohammad Yusuf Khan, acted in many superhit films during his six-decade long careers such as  Madhumati, Devdas,  Mughal-e-Azam, Ganga Jamuna, Ram Aur Shyam and Karma.He was last seen on-screen in the film Qila in 1998.He was honoured with the Dadasaheb Phalke award in 1994 and the Padma Vibhushan in 2015.

Kumar’s wife, actress Saira Banu had earlier said that the actor was hospitalised as he was suffering from high fever, chest infection, and respiratory problems. Earlier, Amitabh Bachchan had shared news about actor recovery saying,

Dr Jalil Parker told the media yesterday, the actor is doing well and he is healthy. His reports are normal. We have decided to discharge him tomorrow morning as opposed to today keeping in mind the patient’s comfort.

The actor was admitted to the hospital following respiratory problems and has now fully recovered
