As per source, the association has even sent Legal Notice to successful producer Dil Raju to change the title of dubbed version of Vijay’s recent release ‘Theri’. Just a day prior to the release, ‘Policeodu’ title was changed to ‘Police’.

Now, they have targeted actor Srikanth’s upcoming film titled ‘Mental Police’. Following the complaint of Telangana Police association, the High Court has sent a legal notice to the makers of Mental Police asking them to change the title. Makers are now looking for alternative titles.

In the notice the association alleged that the film’s unit has insulted the department by showing them in a wrong way and further expressed concerns with the title ‘Mental Police”. The film’s trailer was released few months back and the actor was seen wearing a garland of chappals and sitting on the road.

They claim that this title belittles the image of police in the society and demanded to change the name immediately. A statement of this effect was released by its president Y. Gopireddy, principal secretary Karan Kumar Singh, and senior vice president K. Srinivas Reddy on Thursday. The film unit is said to have responded positively and is in the process of changing the title.
