VE is the joint venture between Volvo Group and Eicher Motors Ltd., Eicher trucks and buses fall into the category of VE Commercial products of the company. The latest model Eicher Pro 1049 mini truck serves the medium and small business needs of the transportation industry. The 10 feet long body with the highest load carrying capacity will be useful in all the areas of cargo transportation. Urban, Suburban and Rural areas can be covered for the transport needs.

As per the marketing and sales senior vice president of VE commercial vehicles, Mr.Shyam Maller has stated that the segment of 3.5 tonnes – 5 tonnes loading capacity can be covered with the introduction of Eicher 1049 mini truck model. The market share of the company can also be enhanced with this model.

The Light and Medium Division (LMD) segment has a very positive potential growth in the market for sales. The Eicher Pro 1049 mini truck is one of the models in the 1000 series of its commercial vehicles segment. The model is self-designed by the company. The plant at Pithampur of Madhya Pradesh is manufacturing the units to meet the supply needs.

The previous year, LMD market witnessed the sale of nearly 8080 units for the VE commercial trucks and buses. This new model introduction may further widen the market share of the company.
