The conflict between the European Union and the Google still remains unresolved as both the parties stood on their stands. The Federal Trade Commission (FTC) in the meanwhile has taken the steps to look into the matter. The FTC is keen on looking at the shreds of evidence of both EU and Google over Android usage.

The Android Operating system is largely used by the smartphone manufacturing companies. The main allegation of the EU is that it is creating the platform for Google’s marketing. This is in turn, kerbing the chances of its competitors. Google search engine is the default app that is pre-loaded with Android OS. The EU Competition Commissioner Margrethe Vestager believes such practices as a breach of the competition Law.

The United States based Google company has now to respond within three months to avoid sanctions against it. The sanctions could amount to fines of up to 10 percent of the group’s annual global sales or $7.4 billion based on their 2015 results. If this happens then it would be a painful result for the tech giant Google.
