On Thursday, the Supreme Court told that the Centre to implement National Eligibility Entrance Test (NEET) from the academic year 2016-17 instead of All India Pre-Medical test (AIPMT).  The Supreme Court on Thursday told the Centre to implement National Eligibility Entrance Test (NEET) instead of AIMPT.

Every year NEET conducts the All India Pre-Medical/Pre- Dental Test (AIPMT). The Supreme Court proposed that National Eligible Entrance Test for the academic year 2016-2017 for the MBBS and BDS to center.

The decision will effect on lakhs of medical students. Centre has proposed to hold the examination in two phases. Moreover, centre and Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) have proposed a schedule for NEET in which 6.5 lakh candidates can appear in the first phase.

According to the official notification, the first phase of NEET exam will be held on 1^st May 2016. Approximately, 6.5 lakh of people going to appear in the first phase and in the second phase will be conducted on 24^th July 2016. Hence, the results will be available on the official website on 17^th August 2016. Although, the admission procedure will be completed on 30^th September 2016 by the Centre and CBSE.

Moreover, in MBBS course approximately 52000 plus seats are available and the competition was far high. A huge number of students are applying across the country. Hence, the applicants worried about the NEET Schedule 2016.
