Honda Motors India has crossed the mark of 4000 units of pre-orders of Honda BRV and now it is ready to deliver bookings.

The Japanese automaker, Honda BRV is a compact Sports Utility Vehicle – in short termed as SUV was launched in Indian automobiles market recently. The response from the buyers is amazing for the company. Nearly 4000 units were pre-booked. The initial amount of booking was fixed as Rs. 21,000/-. Deliveries are also expected to start soon. Manufacturing plant at Tapukar in Rajasthan is getting ready to increase the production of the models Honda BRV along with other models Jazz and Amaze. Currently, the production capacity of the plant stands at 1.2 lakh units and it is proposed to increase to 1.8 lakh units per year. Around 380 crores is being invested for this purpose by the company.

The Honda BRV is only compact SUV to offer 7 seating facility in the segment. The model is available with three variants. Two in petrol version and one in the diesel. The petrol variant has the 1.5-litre i-VTEC engine and the diesel variant has the 1.5-litre i-DTEC engine. Bothe the models come with a Six box manual gear system. The Automatic version is available comes only with petrol version with CVT engine.

Apart from this, the company with the success of the SUV BRV model is planning to launch its Multi Utility Vehicle (MPV) in the Indian Automobiles market soon.

The Hyundai Creta starts at Rs. 9.15 lakhs. The top end is available at Rs.12.86 lakhs for the petrol. Honda BR-V starts at Rs. 8.75 lakhs. The top end is available at Rs.11.99 lakhs for the petrol. On the diesel side the Creta ranges between 9.99 lakhs to 14.5 lakhs, and the BRV between 9.90 lakhs to 12.90 lakhs.
