Telangana Chief Minister KCR gave green signal to Mega Star Chiranjeevi’s request to support an establishment of Konidela film studio.
Chiranjeevi and KCR met at the inaugural ceremony of Balakrishna’s 100th film Gautami Putrasatakarni in the city recently. During his speech, Chiru showered praises on Telangana CM K Chandrasekhar Rao for taking measures to develop Telugu Film Industry.
Sources said that Chiranjeevi evinced interest to set up a film studio in the name of his surname ‘Konidela’ in the city. He sought government’s support for the proposed project. Chiranjeevi requested KCR government’s assistance for the setting up of the studio during their meeting at the inaugural ceremony of Balakrishna’s 100th film Gautami Putrasatakarni in the city recently.
Chiru’s Word Of Praise came as a bitter shock to T-Congress Leaders. At the same time, It should be treated as an indirect attack on AP Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu for not being able to do much for the sake of Industry growth in Andhra Pradesh. Even in the past, The Actor-turned-Politician criticized AP Government for making tall claims about incentives offered for setting up Studios in Visakha but lacking the commitment to implement it. Clarity would come out only after Chiru forwards his proposal on paper to the government.
