Chennai: After A.R.Murugadoss’s Kaththi was trapped in a case of stolen story, now the same came with Ashwin Saravanan’s Maya movie starring Nayantara.

A.R.Murugadoss earlier got trapped in controversy that he stole the story of short film Thaaga Boomi and made the movie ‘Kaththi’. Now the same has happened to ‘Maya’ director Ashwin Saravanan. Arun Chandira who is an assistant director has made a complaint stating his story was stolen. He said

“I am an assistant director and I worked for movies like ‘Ra Ra’. I wrote and penned the screenplay for the movie ‘Valai 2014’ and the movie was directed by A.Venkatesh’s associate M.N.Raja. I was unable to direct the movie as I never had access card from sangam. So my friend M.N.Raja directed the movie.

All my friends acted in the short film and the short film ran for a span of 27 minutes. Later we planned to make it as a feature movie. By then we came to know that a movie titled ‘Night Show’ is made. Then what shocked us further was they changed the title to ‘Maya’.

Because in our script, the lead hero name is ‘Maayan’. We tried to meet the director, but none of them allowed us to meet him. As they never responded we sent a legal notice. But still we get muted response from their side.”
