Ahmedabad, July 4: ACMPMC announced medical merit list (Medical and Para Medical Courses) for the year 2015. City girl Shivani Jani from Gujarat state board topped in list with 98.95 merit marks.
The Admission Committee for Medical and Para Medical Courses (ACMPMC) has declared the merit list of 28,558 students for 11,000 seats. City girl Shivani Jani from Gujarat Secondary and Higher Secondary Education Board secured top position with 98.95 merit marks and Darshit Jain from Central Board of Secondary Education got 95.91 merit marks
Shivani from Gujarat state board scored 120 out of 120 marks in entrance examination and scored 99.99 percentages in class 12th examination. Merit list for admission is calculated based on the 60 percentage weightage in class 12th and 40 percent in pre-medical entrance examination. Total 28,555 candidates listed in merit list for 11, 000 seats in medical and paramedical courses in state college. ACMPMC will soon announce the date to begin the admission process
Across Gujarat state 20 medical colleges are there including six government colleges and rest of colleges are run by private trust. ACMPMC want to keep 10 seats for management quota and colleges have already advertised admissions to these seats.
As per merit list details, Tushar Teriya (98.68), Gohel Harshil (95.61) and Patel Sheron (93.73) secured with top positions in OBC, SC and ST categories respectively. In CBSE, Daeshit secured top marks in general list, Ankit Patel (80.35), Khoma Komal (88.25) and Dabuwala Anushka (94.32) topped in the list of students in ST,SC and OBC categories respectively.
