Aircel Users to Get Free Incoming on Roaming in South India

Bengaluru, June 11: Aircel cuts roaming rates in five southern states, charged only one paisa per second for outgoing calls and offers free incoming calls for their existed and new customers.

Telecom operator Aircel has announced that, their customers in five southern states including Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Kerala, Karnataka and Tamil Nadu can enjoy free incoming calls and charged as only one paisa for per second for a roaming call in the region. The offer will be activated from June, 11 on wards.

Aircel Karnataka Circle Business Head Kanwarbir Singh said that “We are launching the industry first on roaming which is relevant to South India and we have a uniform roaming tariff across this region. This service will be applicable for all existed and new customer of postpaid or prepaid ones.”

The offer is valid across the five states and it doesn’t require any separate recharge or pack activation to get an offer. The offer will be activated default with effect from June 11, 2015.

So, now the postpaid or prepaid users of Aircel network across five southern states can utilise this services. Aircel customers who are travelling across these states now can enjoy free incoming call and outgoing call with 1 paisa per second. The network didn’t change any other SMS and pocket internet packs, customers can continue their packs as per already applicable.

The company has investing primarily at Bangalore state, for this it has added around 360 new towers both 2G and 3G together in the state in last six months and planning to put more 200 towers in next three to four months in the state.
