The Airlift movie has made based on a true event, coming to the story, Kuwait was invaded by Saddam Hussein on 2nd August 1990. The entire city was taken over by the Iraqi Army within a few hours time and the royal family of Kuwaiti tried to escape to Saudi Arabia and leaving the state rudderless.
At that situation 170, 000 Indians stayed there with the scare and losing all things like money and homes. At that time, a biggest rich person and a wealthy powerful Indian named Ranjit Katyal who has seen himself as a Kuwaiti and realize that he and his family in very danger situation among all the Indians in the country.
Ranjit Katyal has decided to protect all Indians in the Kuwait by managing Iraqi invasion for surviving. Due to this reason he traveled thousands of kilometers across all borders such as Amman and Jordan for get back to Indians to our country and finally it made the history worldwide.
Approximately, 59 days, the Indian government has sent 488 Air India Commercial flights into war zone systematically for bringing the people to our country. Airlift is the story of the biggest ever human evacuation in the mankind history.
In all aspects, such as direction, technically, screenplay, musically and star cast performance wise etc the movie has been made wonderfully. The audience is giving the good response to this movie and talking about Akshay Kumar marvelous performance.

Storyline in Brief
